Available at our location in Plymouth, MN, or at your place for an additional travel fee.
If your bird is boarding with us, nail clipping is discounted to $10.
The price depends on the bird's size and the condition of the beak.
A "soft" clip (3 feathers per wing) to prevent your bird from hitting objects or a "moderate" clip (5 feathers per wing) to avoid escapes and help with bonding.
The price depends on the type of test (blood or feather).
I collect blood, feather, cloacal, and throat swab samples and send them to the laboratory in Florida. The results are available in about 2 weeks. The certificates are available in about 3 weeks.

Recommended for birds with open leg bands, which are used by large pet store chains for internal identification purposes. These open bands can pose serious safety risks, as they may catch on cage bars, toys, perches, or other objects in the environment — potentially causing injury, leg fractures, or even panic-related accidents.
Please note: The closed leg bands used by Kai Birds aviary are a much safer alternative and do not need to be removed in the future. Our bands contain important information that can assist with identification in the event of an escape (the breeder’s last name, a unique serial number linked to our database, and the year the bird hatched).
Pricing depends on the size of your bird. We provide an enclosure, a variety of perches, and a cuttlebone or a mineral block. You’ll just need to bring your feathered friend in a carrier, their food, and a few favorite toys.
Each bird enjoys daily out-of-cage time for flying, foraging, and social interaction in our dedicated play area. Photo and video updates are available upon request.
Recent (within the last 6 months) PBFD, Psittacosis, and Polyomavirus test certificates are required and can be obtained through any avian veterinarian or at our location for a flat fee of $60. Testing must be completed at least two weeks before your bird’s stay.
Please note: A 30% deposit is required to reserve a cage for your selected boarding dates. This deposit is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to future reservations. The remaining balance is due at the time of drop-off.
